It’s HOT… in Princeton’s EMPLOYMENT scene!!! WOW— JOBS- JOBS- JOBS!!!

EXTRA… EXTRA… READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!

6 JOBS… nope scratch that, 1 just came in while I was writing this…. 7 JOBS advertised here in less than 24 hrs!  It is just Awesome for our local community; we have been working in the Princeton Employment Industry for more than 15 years… and “lemme” tell ya… THIS is BIG for Princeton! The last few weeks have been off the chart for job opportunities and we have seen huge increases to the local wages as well. 

Being the nutty and fun nerd that I am… I was curious to capture a bit of what is happening here in P-town.  So I ran a few numbers… loosely.  A Multiplier effect  (of 2.7 to 4.7) would lead us to believe that 7 Jobs could translate into roughly 20-30 indirect jobs in our community. 

Ohhh and that number of 7… it only represents 10-20 % of the demand needed in this HOT MARKET!  That sweet little Hidden Job Market is ALIVE and VERY well.  So of the 7 Jobs we see on our board, it is very likely that there are really around 35-70 openings locally (AKA Hiding within friends, family, neighbors).  Here is where the FUN lives… if we use a low number… say 40 Actual Jobs— THAT could  be close to 150 Indirect jobs created from the 40ish Jobs we calculated.  NOW that could be reason to celebrate; People with JOBS… translates into growth and BIG cash into our awesome surrounding communities. 

Soo the details:

7 Jobs: 5 Full Time:

  • Storeroom Attendant- Weyerhaeuser
  • Inventory Analyst- Copper Mountain Mine- (Monday to Friday!)
  • Lunch Cook- Little Creek Grill
  • Production Labourer- Princeton Wood Preservers
  • Class 1 Logging Truck Driver- Blackmine Outfitters

1 Part- Time:

  • Merchandising & Pharmacy Assistant- IDA

1 Casual

  • Landscaping & Renovation – Randall 1-778-389-4432

Fun Fact: 2 of our Communities biggest Employers posted 2 similar jobs on the same day… what are the chances of that?  They also have some really great aspects, opportunities, and good wages included;  Monday to Friday— Unheard of… Training Included… Come On… Fair/Living Wages??? Giddy Up!!

Employment in PRINCETON has not seen Opportunities like this in a VERY, VERY, VERY long time!!! It’s “All Systems Go” for  various Industries and it appears to look good for all skill sets and various years of experiences! 

Competition is at an all time high… and opportunities are everywhere, it’s a really good time for Princeton’s Families, Local Business and our Economy.  So friends… now may just be the time to check your industry trends, future prospects, and peek out into the Hungry Princeton Labour Market!

Have you done enough to Retain TOP talent?

BOOM… it appears that the Princeton Job Markets supply and demand tipping points are about to shake up our typically EMPLOYER driven Labour Market!!  Never before have we seen more opportunity for our Local Job Seekers and the gainfully employed. That’s right, your TOP talent is being hunted, and more, now than ever, we need to have our BASICS in place to retain and recruit in these uncertain times.  With several opportunities to sharpen the saw, we witness the growth that happens in SHIFTING SEAS.

EMPLOYERS, MANAGERS, and HR Practitioners better be on point. Today’s Job Market dictates that it is absolutely mandatory to have done that “little relationship building thing”.  A loyal and solid Employer/ Employee relationship is critical to retaining TALENT.  Updated wages, benefits, increased vacation, and fun bonuses in the ever evolving Employee Culture and Incentives  to retain talent will be BIG payoffs in this high stakes hunting game.  If you as leaders have failed to stay innovative and “invested” (literally and figuratively) Dare I say it….  I SNIFF a SHIFT on the horizon— a BIG one!!

  • Slay your Dragons; be a hero to your  Boss,  Crew, Clients, and your Work Mates
  • Stayin’ late and starting early… Set Examples not Excuses!
  • Consistently demonstrate your Pro Polish and throw down your Money Attitude;
  • Be Aware, Kind, and an ever lovin’ BOSS in your work choices and reputation.
  • Practice Mindfulness– It is a FREEKING SUPERPOWER!

Let these shifting seas test your Innovations, Best Practices and Leadership.   Business… a game… intricate at best, hard to predict and RISKY. In the end it’s all about how well you proved your worth,  prepared for talent demands, invested in your operations, infrastructure and people. Go ahead allow your company to SAIL through this Labour Market STORM!!
