Forklift Operator Safety

Upon completion of the classroom portion of this course students will have an understanding of the following: Lift truck fundamentals; principles of balance, stability and capacity; Importance of a pre- operational inspection and how to conduct one; Safety guidelines for operating a lift truck; Safe load handling techniques; Refuelling gasoline, diesel, and LP powered Lift Trucks; Changing and charging batteries. Students will be required to perform a demonstration of their ability to operate a lift truck safely.
